OnePlus 2014 annual report

OnePlus has published its first ever “Annual Report” which highlights their performance in the year 2014. It is their first report as they are just a “one year old” company. In this report, we will find more about the growth of OnePlus and its community. The company has also launched its own power bank recently.

OnePlus started the company with only ‘One‘ smartphone which got them recognition all over the world. The company got its fair share of criticism as well as it sells the device via ‘Invite System’ and cannot cope up with the demand. Lets have a look at what percent of OnePlus One were shipped to each region of the world.

  • 39% of OnePlus One were shipped to East Asia (including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong)
  • 32% OnePlus One were shipped to Europe (including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, UK)
  • 22% OnePlus One were shipped to North America (including Canada, USA)
  • 7% OnePlus One were shipped to India (shipping started in December, 2014)

In spite of launching the device just a couple of months back in India, 7% of the total units of ‘One’ has been shipped in India. That resembles the demand of the device in India. The company had a revenue of more than US $300 million in the year 2014. They have shipped 1,055 tons of merchandise which is equivalent to the weight of six blue whales.

OnePlus has more than 1.1 million fans on Facebook, 190,000 followers on Twitter, 156,000 on Google Plus and 46,000 on Instagram. That’s quite a fan following in just one year. OnePlus forums are quite popular where USA leads with India with at the second place. In case if you want to know more, head over to the forum to check out the infographic.

OnePlus is coming out with its own custom ROM named ‘OxygenOS’ after Cyanogen Inc ditched them before the India launch when they decided to have an exclusive partnership with YU. More information about the ROM will be released on February 12.
