OnePlus has been in constantly in the news since type believe in #Hype and are releasing tidbits on the upcoming ‘2’ every now and then. The latest news is the OnePlus 2 price, which is said to be under US $450.
OnePlus One was dubbed as a flagship killer because of killer hardware at an aggressive price. However, the company will not be able to maintain the same pricing strategy due to cost of top of the line hardware and build. Still, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus said, “I can promise that the OnePlus 2 will be priced under 450 USD.”
“Honestly, it’s never been about the price. We simply make the best smartphone we can, and we go from there.”
Now, the upcoming phablet might start below $450 but can cost more than that as we have heard rumours of it coming in different variants. There might be a normal 3GB RAM variant and also a 4GB model. Also, a mini version with smaller display might be on offer as well. We can only confirm these when the VR launch event takes place on July 27.
So far, OnePlus has officially revealed that the 2 will come with an under clocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, which is cooler than ever. It will run on OxygenOS out of the box, have a patented USB Type C port and embed a fingerprint sensor that is faster and more secured.
