OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X get a USD 50 price cut ahead of OnePlus 3 announcement

OnePlus has reduced the price of both the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X smartphones, ahead of the OnePlus 3 announcement scheduled for end of June. Both the devices have received an US $50 price cut, and hence they are now selling for $299 and $199, respectively. Earlier, the OnePlus 2 had got a permanent price cut of $40 from the launch price of $389.

“Anyone who purchased the OnePlus 2 or the OnePlus X within the last 14 days can contact customer support to request a refund of the price difference ($40, or the equivalent in your currency),” said the company. The OnePlus 3 is expected to be priced around $385-400 and the price cut reaffirms that rumour.

These price cuts are only available via the company’s global portal hence it is only applicable to certain countries. Since Amazon sells the device in India, the consumers have to wait to Amazon India to reduce the prices of these devices.
