With less than 12 hours to go for the most hyped Android smartphone launch event of the year, OnePlus 2 images has been leaked. Yes, the ‘flagship killer of 2016’ – the OnePlus 2 images are out.
The OnePlus 2 images were posted by ‘chinaleakking’ on Android Central’s forum. By looking at these fresh images, we can make out a sliding switch button present on the device, most probably used for putting the phone in silent mode, just like the iPhones. The speaker cutouts at the bottom also resembles the design of iPhones 6 and Galaxy S6. The fingerprint scanner has been integrated in a new home button.
The OnePlus 2 will have dual SIM as mentioned by the company. However, the second SIM slot might take in microSD cards as well (not confirmed yet). The person who leaked the device stated,
“Appearance ugly, not nice, OnePlus one better,
camera OIS work well,
fingerprint home button so so,
Oxygen OS suck …
enjoy the pics!”
So, take a look at the OnePlus 2 images which were leaked on the Internet ahead of the official launch. Do check out the specifications as well.
OnePlus 2 Specifications
The OnePlus 2 will be smaller and more compact than the OnePlus One. It will be powered by an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, come with patented USB Type C port, a fingerprint sensor which is supposedly ‘faster than TouchID’. It will also come with a whopping 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM on board which will be powered by a 3300 mAh battery under the hood. According to MKBHD’s OnePlus 2 camera review, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and f/2.0 aperture.
The company also accidentally confirmed it will have Dual SIM support and it might be Hybrid SIM, where one can use a microSD card on the second slot. The display size or resolution has not been confirmed yet. The back has a Sandstone Black finish like the OnePlus One 64GB variant but OnePlus will sell swappable back covers. There is an addition on the front i.e. the physical home button to place the fingerprint sensor, which is supposedly ‘faster than Apple’s TouchID’. The 13 megapixel rear camera will come with dual-tone LED flash with Laser AutoFocus, like the LG G4 lineup.
The ‘2016 flagship killer’ will be priced under $450. It will be launched at an unusual VR event on July 27. To watch the event, download the OnePlus Cardboard VR app now. Also, find out how the OnePlus 2 Invite System will work.
