OnePlus 2 gets benchmarked on AnTuTu ahead of launch on July 27

The OnePlus 2 is about to be launched on July 27 at 7pm PT. It will be the first ever VR launch event of any tech product. The upcoming smartphone from OnePlus has made its way on AnTuTu and has been benchmarked in a couple of videos.

The OnePlus 2 has scored around 49,000 in AnTuTu in this video. However, it is significantly lower than the result of 63,000 in the previously leaked benchmark, couple of days back.

It can also mean two different variants of the 2, where one will come with 3GB RAM and another will have 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It is also worth noting that the device on the video has a model no of A2001 with 16 GB of internal storage. It runs on HydrogenOS, based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is a China-only model. The global variant will run on OxygenOS out of the box. It has already made an appearance on TENAA.

OnePlus 2 Specifications

The OnePlus 2 will be smaller and more compact than the OnePlus One. It will be powered by an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, come with patented USB Type C port, a fingerprint sensor which is supposedly ‘faster than TouchID’. It will also come with a whopping 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM on board which will be powered by a 3300 mAh battery under the hood. According to MKBHD’s OnePlus 2 camera review, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and f/2.0 aperture.

The company also accidentally confirmed it will have Dual SIM support and it might be Hybrid SIM, where one can use a microSD card on the second slot. The display size or resolution has not been confirmed yet. The back has a Sandstone Black finish like the OnePlus One 64GB variant but OnePlus will sell swappable back covers. There is an addition on the front i.e. the physical home button to place the fingerprint sensor, which is supposedly ‘faster than Apple’s TouchID’. The 13 megapixel rear camera will come with dual-tone LED flash with Laser AutoFocus, like the LG G4 lineup.

The ‘2016 flagship killer’ will be priced under $450. It will be launched at an unusual VR event on July 27. To watch the event, download the OnePlus Cardboard VR app now. Also, find out how the OnePlus 2 Invite System will work.
