Now buy Galaxy S7 or S7 edge and get Gear VR for Rs 900 in India

Samsung had officially announced the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in India on March 8 for Rs 48,900 and Rs 56,900, respectively. It went on sale on March 18 and could be pre-ordered over that period of 10 days. Customers pre-ordering any of these flagship phones got the Gear VR headset for free, which is worth Rs 8,200, if purchased separately. Now, the company if offering a similar offer, where the customer can purchase the Gear VR for Rs 990, if they buy a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge. It is valid from May 1 to May 31.

Samsung will allow the online consumers to activate their devices by June 7 to active this scheme whereas the offline consumers need to do it by May 31. After the devices get activated, customers will receive a unique code via the My Galaxy app on their new Galaxy S7 or S7 edge, which can be used to get the discount at the time of buying the Gear VR from Samsung India’s official online store. The Samsung Galaxy S7 features a 5.1-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Super AMOLED always-on, pressure sensitive display that comes with a pixel density of 577 PPI. It is powered by an octa-core Exynos 8 8890 (Quad 2.3 GHz + Quad 1.6 GHz) 64-bit processor. It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and has 32 / 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI on top of it. It has a 3D glass and metal design and features internal cooling system that will keep the device from overheating. One the camera front, the Galaxy S7 rocks a 12 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture and Smart OIS. The Dual pixel rear camera is promising brighter and sharper images, even in low light. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 152 grams. It comes with a heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor and Barometer as well. It is also water and dust resistant since it is IP68 certified. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano) where the user can swap the second SIM card to put in a microSD card.
