Nokia 6 with 4GB RAM running on Android Nougat goes official in China

HMD Global has announced its first Nokia Android phone today named Nokia 6, after the company was given exclusive license to sell and manufacture Nokia phones. Lets take a look at its features and specifications below.

The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, that has a pixel density of 401 PPI, 450 nits of brightness and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (Quad 1.2GHz Cortex A53 + Quad 1.5GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The phablet runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.

The Nokia 6 rocks a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), 1.0µm sensor. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12µm sensor and 84-degree wide-angle lens, that can click great selfies in low light conditions and make video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, Dual speakers (top and bottom), Dual smart amplifiers (TFA9891) and Dolby Atmos for an awesome audio experience. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button, that can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds. It has an aluminium alloy unibody design that is 7.8mm thick.

The Nokia 6 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and USB OTG as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3000mAh battery (non-removable) under the hood with fast charging support.

The Nokia 6 is available in Black color and it has been priced at CNY 1699 (US $246 / INR Rs. 16,739 approximately). It is a China exclusive phone and will be available exclusively via in the first half of 2017.
