Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM was unveiled by Microsoft Devices today, which is now the company’s most affordable internet-enabled smartphones. Lumia 535 was the first smartphone with Microsoft branding and now the company is launching budget phones with the Nokia branding. Lets go through the specifications.
The Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM feature a 2.8-inch (320 x 240 pixels) QVGA LCD display. It has built-in Opera Mini browser along with MP3 player and FM Radio. It does not support 3G as it has 2G (EDGE). The most affordable internet-enabled phones also has Bluetooth 3.0 with Slam sharing feature. The phone runs on 30+ OS which also supports expandable memory up to 32 GB via microSD cards.
On the camera front, The Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM phone has only a rear VGA camera without any flash. So front-facing camera for your selfies. It has a built-in torch. Both variants of the phones are 12.9 mm thick and they have a curved design.
As these are the most affordable internet-enabled phones, these devices come pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter, Bing search and MSN Weather apps. Both Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM has 1,100 mAh battery under the hood which promises up to 20 hours of talk time. The single SIM variant would offer up to 29 days of standby time and the dual SIM variant will give up to 21 days of standby time.
The Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM will be available in Black, White and Bright Green colour variants which has been priced at USD 29 (Rs 1,800 approximately) without taxes. These smartphones will go on sale in select markets of Africa, Asia, Europe and Middle East by Q1 2015.
