The new Moto G is launched in India, priced at Rs 12,999; goes on sale at midnight on Flipkart

After announcing the new Moto X in USA, Motorola has now announced the new Moto G in India. It has been priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 16 GB variant and will go on sale at midnight exclusively on Flipkart (as expected). You can buy it now by clicking below:

The new Moto G (yes, it isn’t called Moto G2) has a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 cover on top of it. It is powered by the Qualcomm 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor which comes with 1 GB of RAM.

The new Moto G will run on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, giving you the vanilla Android experience with no bloatware and will be updated to Android L when it arrives. It has both 8 GB and 16 GB of internal storage (ROM) options and it has a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The phone weighs 149 grams and is 10.99 mm thick. It has dual front-facing speakers.


The Moto G featues a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the connectivity options, the new Moto G comes with Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and more. It has a 2,070 mAh battery under the hood. It is a Dual SIM phone.
