New Google Play Store update adds design enhancements

Many of the Google apps has already inherited the new Material Design. Google Play Store was one of them and it was also the very first Google app to receive the Material Design update. Google has been rolling another new update of Google Play Store (ver 5.0.31) which mainly focuses on the refinement of the Material Design and adds a few new enhancements.

Ahead of the Android L release, Google has taken a fresh move and has started rolling out the new update. There are a few noticeable changes in the new update. The Play Store icon has become more flat and the whole Play Store boasts of a more colorful, bold and bright color palette that is the essence of Google’s Material Design. The home page of the Play Store shows main categories like Apps, Movies, Games and Books in different bright colors.

The ‘What’s New’ section has been bumped at the top instead of staying at the bottom after the ‘Read More’ button for description of the changelog. The entire Play Store gets small animations that enhances the navigation experience. Good news is that Google has rolled out the app update and it should reach users in coming days. Those who lack patience and wanna try the new update right away, download the file from here and have fun!
