Motorola is testing Android Lollipop for Motorola Moto X (2014)

Motorola is ready with a version of the most anticipated version of Android, Android Lollipop for its newest Moto X devices, the top of the line devices under the Moto hood. The company has started rolling out the version limited devices as part of a soak test. Basically they want to test the update before rolling out to the mass.

Motorola too has prepared their version of Android for their flagship even before the release of Android for the Nexus lineup and good news is that they have also started the testing on the new version. They will collect user feedback for a period of time to squash the necessary bugs out of the ROM. The new Android ROM has all the new features inherited like the Material Design, lock screen notifications, card style notifications and many more. In addition, the device also gets Moto Display and Ambient Display, Motorola Assist and Downtime features. The exact date of the Android 5.0 Lollipop release for Moto X is not known yet.

The exact date for releasing the ROM haven’t been published yet but we believe that would happen soon after they are done with fixing the necessary bugs from this soak test. Soon after the other Moto line up devices will receive the updates.
