Motorola launches three smartphones in China to announce its arrival

Motorola steps into China again on January 26 by launching three new devices, namely the new Moto X, Moto X Pro and the Moto G with 4G LTE. Pre-orders are being taken for the Moto G and the Moto X, and the Moto X Pro (re-branded Nexus 6) was also shown.

We already reported about Motorola’s plans to re-enter China couple of weeks ago. Now, people in China can pre-order the new Moto X whose price is starting at 2,999 Chinese Yuan (US $479), which will ship by the first week of February, 2015. The Moto X 2nd Gen will be available in wood and leather black colour options much like India and will also be the first device to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop in China.

The Motorola Moto X Pro (re-branded Nexus 6) and Moto G LTE will be available in the later half of February, 2015. Eventually, Motorola would be bringing the Moto Maker to China in the coming months along with the Moto 360 and Moto Hint Bluetooth Headset.

The Motorola Moto X and the Moto X Pro will come with LTE radios which will work with all three major Chinese carriers while the Moto G will come with two dual SIM variants for CMCC/China Unicom and China Telecom. Motorola has been acquired by Lenovo for US $2.9 Billion last year and hence it is making a comeback in China.
