Motorola Moto X Style phablet officially announced

Motorola Moto X Style has been finally launched, as expected. Lets go through the specifications of the phablet.


Motorola Moto X Style Specifications

The Motorola Moto X Style features a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD TFT LCD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 16 / 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It has Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing System which combines the Snapdragon 808 to offer dedicated to Natural Language Processing, Contextual Computing including handling the phablet’s multiple sensors.

The Moto X Style rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It has a water-repellent coating but isn’t water-resistant like the new Moto G 3rd Gen. It is 6.1 – 11.06 mm (curve) thick and weighs 179 grams.


On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS and NFC. It packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood. It supports quick charging and comes bundled with the Motorola TurboPower 25 Charger. 15 minutes of charging can offer up to 10 hours of usage, according to the Motorola.

The Motorola Moto X Style is available in White and Black colour variants and is supported by Moto Maker customization, which will offer 18 different inlays that includes Premium Horween leather and Natural wood backs. The price of Moto X Style has not been announced yet. It will roll out in Europe, Latin America and North America starting from September 2015. The company will give more information on the launch of Moto X Style in Asia-Pacific including China and India later this year.

Motorola also announced the Moto X Play.
