Motorola Moto X Play has been announced by the company, as expected. Lets have a look at the specifications of the smartphone.

The Motorola Moto X Play features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4 x 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.7 Cortex A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 / 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with Moto Display, Moto Voice, Moto Assist and Moto Actions features on top of stock Android, to enhance the experience.
The Moto X Play rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 1080p Full HD videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has a water-repellent coating but isn’t water-resistant like the new Moto G 3rd Gen. It is 8.9 – 10.9 mm (curve) thick and weighs 169 grams.
On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It packs in a 3,630 mAh battery under the hood, which promises up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed usage. It supports quick charging and comes bundled with the Motorola TurboPower 25 Charger.
The Motorola Moto X Play is available in Black and White colour variants and also supports replaceable flip shells and Moto Maker customization. It will be selling in 55 countries including Europe, Latin America and Canada from August but won’t be available in USA. The company has not announced the pricing and we do not have information of roll out in Asia (India) yet.
