Motorola Moto X Play now official in India for Rs 18499

Motorola India has officially announced the Motorola Moto X Play in India today, as expected, at a launch event in Delhi. The smartphone was announced back in July. Lets take a look at the specifications of the device.


Motorola Moto X Play Specifications

The Motorola Moto X Play features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a pixel density of 403 ppi. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4 x 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.7 Cortex A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and has 16 / 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with Moto Display, Moto Voice, Moto Assist and Moto Actions features on top of stock Android, to enhance the experience.

The smartphone rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 1080p Full HD videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has a water-repellent coating but isn’t water-resistant like the new Moto G 3rd Gen. It is 8.9 – 10.9 mm (curve) thick and weighs 169 grams. It comes with Dual SIM (nano) support.

On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It packs in a 3,630 mAh battery under the hood, which promises up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed usage. It supports quick charging and comes bundled with the Motorola TurboPower 25 Charger.


The Motorola Moto X Play is available in Black and White colour variants and also supports replaceable flip shells. It has been priced at Rs 18,499 for the 16GB variant and Rs 19,999 for the 32GB variant in India and goes on sale exclusively on Flipkart at Midnight, September 15.     Great phone, specs and esp. battery looks pretty good. checked some reviews and videos on net, looks good to me.
    As i look forward to buy a new phone, a bit confused with Sam A7 and this one.
    Both have almost same type of conf expect plus minus on both sides like dispaly is gud in A7, battery in X Play…
