Motorola Moto G4 Play with 5-inch HD display goes official

Motorola Moto G4 Play has been officially unveiled today, after the launch of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India at an event in Delhi. Lets check out the specifications of this budget smartphone.

The Motorola Moto G4 Play features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor along with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The Moto G4 Play rocks a 8 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Full HD 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 8.95 ~ 9.9 mm thick and weighs 137 grams. It also has water-repellent nano-coating.

The Moto G4 Play includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,800 mAh battery under the hood with Quick Charge support, where the 10W quick charger promises a battery life of hours with a few minutes of charging.

The Motorola Moto G4 Play will be available in Black color and is scheduled to roll out globally later this summer. There in no information on pricing yet.
