Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen specs were leaked couple of months ago. Recently, we saw images of the device getting leaked as well. Today, the Moto E 2nd Gen which comes with 4G LTE was seen on Best Buy. The specifications are similar to the leaked ones and we are assuming the official launch is take place soon.
Moto E 2nd Gen Specifications
The Moto E 2nd Gen features a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD display which is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen comes with a 5-megapixel primary rear camera. On the front, it has a 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 11.9 mm thick and weighs 142.8 grams. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. This one is a single SIM variant but we expect Dual SIM variant depending on region. India will surely get the Dual SIM variant.
The Moto E 2nd Gen has 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS as connectivity options. We do not have any information on the capacity of the battery under the hood.
The smartphone will come in Black and White colour variants along with coloured optional back covers, similar to the first generation Moto E. The listing on Best Buy for locked Sprint variant costs US $99.99 (Rs 6,200 approximately) without contract. We expect the official launch to take place soon as most of the details are out of the bag.
Moto E in India will soon receive Android 5.0 Lollipop as it is undergoing soak test. Motorola will be bringing budget 4G LTE smartphones in 2015 and looks like the new Moto E will be the first one to come out of the closet in the near future.
