Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen launching soon on Flipkart in India for Rs 6999

Motorola launched the Moto E LTE in USA for US $149 on February 25 along with an updated 3G variant. The new Moto E 2nd Gen (3G) is coming to India for Rs 6,999 exclusively on Flipkart.


The Moto E 2nd Gen 3G variant is heading to Flipkart soon for Rs 6,999 but there is no information on the availability of the LTE variant. Due to low penetration of 4G LTE in India, Motorola might not launch the 4G variant in India anytime soon. Motorola Moto Maxx is also coming exclusively on Flipkart.

Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen (2015) 3G Specifications


The new Moto E 2nd Gen (2015) features a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with Adreno 302 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

On the camera front, the Moto E 2nd Gen comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera, which does not come with LED flash. It has a 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM feature, has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio.

The Moto E 2nd Gen includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as connectivity options. It has a 2,390 mAh battery under the hood.

The Moto E 2nd Gen is available in Black and White colour variants along with multiple back covers. It will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 6,999 in India soon. We do not know about the exact launch date yet.

The Moto E 1st Gen is getting updated to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop in India and is available for Rs 5,999 currently on Flipkart. It is a good idea to buy the previous model as the latest 3G variant is not much of an upgrade other than the battery capacity and front camera. The offer is on for a limited time still stocks last and might not make a comeback after the 2nd Gen launches.
