Motorola launches Moto G 2nd Gen 4G LTE variant exclusively on Flipkart app for Rs 8999

Motorola had launched the Moto G 2nd Gen in India in 2014 for Rs 12,999. The smartphone now sells for Rs 9,999 after getting a couple of price cuts. Now, the company has announced a new Moto G 2nd Gen 4G LTE variant, priced at Rs 8,999.


The Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen 4G LTE variant goes on sale exclusively on the Flipkart app for Rs 8,999 from Midnight of October 15. It is part of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days app-only festival. Lets refresh our memories on the specifications of the device.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Gen 3G variant of Moto G is expected to be available for around Rs 7,000 on October 15 exclusively on Flipkart’s app.

Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen 4G Specifications

The Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen 4G has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with Adreno 305 GPU. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Moto G 2nd Gen features a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is a Dual SIM smartphone, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. The smartphone weighs 155 grams and is around 6.0-11.0 mm thick. It also has dual front-facing speakers.

On the connectivity front, the Moto G 2nd Gen 4G comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. It packs in a 2,390 mAh battery under the hood.
