Motorola has officially launched the Moto 360 Sport in India today. Earlier, the company had launched the Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch in the country back in December last year. These wearables were globally unveiled back in September 2015 at IFA. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the watch.
Motorola Moto 360 Sport
The Motorola Moto 360 Sport features a 1.37-inch (360 x 325 pixels) AnyLight Hybrid Display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a pixel density of 263 PPI. The special display will let the user see things clearly both indoor and outdoor. It will work like a normal LCD screen indoors while it will reflect natural sunlight outdoors, which will make the screen easily readable. As it’s the ‘Sport’ variant, it comes with built-in GPS that works seamlessly with Moto Body to track the user’s distance travelled, lap times, pace and more. It also supports other Android fitness apps, as expected.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, comes with 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of eMMC storage, which is not expandable. It runs on Android Wear OS that is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above and iOS devices as well. Now, Android smartwatches also work with iPhones. It is 11.5 mm thick and weighs only 54 grams.
The Moto 360 Sport supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi b/g and GPS as connectivity options. It is IP67 certified, which makes it dust and water-resistant. It comes with Optical heart rate monitor (PPG) to measure heart rate and has dual microphones as well. The watch has a lot of sensors including Barometric Altimeter, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope and Vibration/Haptic engine. It packs in a 300 mAh battery under the hood that promises up to a full day of usage with mixed use with Ambient mode on.
The Motorola Moto 360 Sport is available with a black strap and has been priced at Rs 19,999 in India. It can be purchased exclusively from Flipkart.
