Motorola to launch Moto X Style in India on October 8

Motorola India had started teasing the Moto X Style couple of days back on its social media channels. Now, while browsing Flipkart, we have come across a teaser and it confirms that the flagship device from Motorola is hitting the Indian market on October 8.

Moto X Style aka Moto X Pure Edition was announced back in July along with the Moto X Play and Moto G 3rd Generation. Motorola India has launched both the new Moto G and Moto X Play in India so far. October 8 will be an interesting day since Gionee India is also launching the Elife E8, a camera centric phablet and also entering the e-commerce space. Both Moto X Style and Gionee Elife E8 (likely) are expected to be a Flipkart exclusive.

50 units of Motorola Moto X Style have been imported into India at a price of Rs 30,383. Hence, we can expect the company to price it closer to Rs 30,000-32,000 in the country and it would likely be a Flipkart exclusive, initially. The Huawei-made Google Nexus 6P has also been listed on Flipkart and is expected to launch on October 13, price starts at Rs 39,999. Hence, it will be a big flagship battle in the Indian smartphone market this festive season. Also, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus hitting India in less than 15 days, maybe much more costlier than these, will however battle it out with its Android counterparts.
