Motorola DROID Turbo 2 has been officially announced today. It is an upgraded variant of the Moto X Style and comes with Moto ShatterShield that makes it the world’s first shatterproof display. Lets check out the other specifications.

The Motorola DROID Turbo 2 features a 5.4-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED display that comes with Moto ShatterShield to make the display shatterproof. It has a pixel density of 540 ppi. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor along with Adreno 430 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and is upgradable to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The DROID Turbo 2 rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 87-degree wide-angle lens, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It is 7.6 – 9.2 mm (curve) thick and weighs 169 grams.
On the connectivity front, the DROID Turbo 2 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, GLONASS and NFC. It packs in a 3,760 mAh battery under the hood. It supports Turbo charging, PMA and Qi wireless charging.
The Motorola DROID Turbo 2 is available in White Soft Grip, Black Soft Grip, Grey Ballistic Nylon and Black Pebbled Leather color variants and you could also customize using Moto Maker. It will go on sale starting from October 29 via both online and offline stores. The DROID Turbo 2 will cost US $26 per month on a 2 year contract or $624 (off contract) from Verizon.
