Motorola DROID Maxx 2 has been officially launched along with the DROID Turbo 2. It is a variant of the Moto X Play. Lets check out the specifications of the DROID Maxx 2 now.

The Motorola DROID Maxx 2 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a pixel density of 403 ppi. It is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4 x 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.7 Cortex A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and has 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and is upgradable to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The DROID Maxx 2 rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 1080p Full HD videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 8.9 – 10.9 mm (curve) thick and weighs 169 grams.
On the connectivity front, the DROID Maxx 2 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It packs in a 3,630 mAh battery under the hood, which promises up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed usage. It supports quick charging and comes bundled with the Motorola TurboPower 25W Charger.
The Motorola DROID Maxx 2 is available in Black with Deep Sea Blue Back and White with Winter White Back color variants and you could also customize using Moto Maker. It will go on sale starting from October 29 via both online and offline stores. The DROID Maxx 2 will cost US $16 per month on a 2 year contract or $384 (off contract) from Verizon.
