Motorola announces availability details for all new Moto G4 variants

Motorola has officially announced the availability of the new Moto G4 devices, after announcing them yesterday. Both Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are now selling in Brazil whereas only the G4 Plus has gone on sale in India exclusively on Amazon.

These two variants “will arrive soon in various countries across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific,” said the company in a blog post. If you want to get your hands on the low-end Moto G4 Play, you have to wait till summer.

In case, you are from Canada, the Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play are expected to launch by early and late summer, respectively. However, it looks like the Moto G4 will not be launched in Canada. Lets have a recap of the specifications of all the devices.

The Motorola Moto G4 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a pixel density of 401 PPI. The Moto Display now comes with swipe to unlock and swipe to dismiss features. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The Moto G4 rocks a 13 megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Full HD 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV5693 sensor and 84-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It also has water-repellent nano-coating.

The Moto G4 includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with Turbo Charging support, which will offer 6 hours of usage with just 15 minutes of charging.

The Moto G4 Play rocks a 8 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Full HD 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 8.95 ~ 9.9 mm thick and weighs 137 grams. It also has water-repellent nano-coating.
