Moto X (2nd gen) to launch in India by September 26

The new Moto X was launched in US on September 4 along with the new Moto G as well as the most beautiful Android Wear smartwatch, the Moto 360.
Take a look at the Moto X listing on Flipkart.

The new Moto G went on sale in India on September 6 midnight for a price of Rs 12,999, and Motorola promised the Indian consumers that it will bring in the new Moto X along with the most anticipated Android Wear smartwatch, the Moto 360 to India by end of September.

We have recently noticed that the new Moto X has been listed on Flipkart. The product has been listed as “Coming Soon” and the price hasn’t been revealed yet. Although, you can type in your email to get notification of its availability and price. We certainly think Motorola would launch the device by end of this week considering festival season starting in India from next week.

The all new Moto X

The new Moto X (it isn’t called Moto X+1) has been designed with a sense of style and balance which features a curved metal frame. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) OLED display which has a pixel density of 423 ppi. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 cover on top of it. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC quad-core processor which comes with 2 GB of RAM.

The smartphone will run on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, giving you the vanilla Android experience with no bloatware and will be updated to Android L when it arrives. It has 16 GB of internal storage (ROM) and with Motomaker, you can choose a 32 GB variant. There is no microSD card slot for expanding the memory though. The phone weighs 144 grams and is 9.97 mm thick. It has front-facing speakers at the bottom.

On the camera specifications, the new Moto X has a 13-megapixel rear camera which can shoot 4K videos. It has some new features like voice control, a mode that takes multiple exposures and automatically selects the “best” shot based on smiles, motion blur, whether subjects’ eyes are open, and so on. According to The Verge, the camera is exceptionally fast and with almost zero lag, though it needs to tested extensively. It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for your selfie needs and can also shoot videos at 1080p.

On the connectivity options, the new Moto X comes with Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and more. It has a 2300 mAh battery under the hood which is a little disappointing but we need to test it to give our final verdict.

The Moto X is priced at $499.99 in US, so we can expect it to cost around Rs 30,000- 32,000 in India when it launches. Though, Flipkart will offer plenty of freebies on launch day as it has done with all Motorola devices.
