Lenovo had launched a trio of new Moto G4 smartphones last week. The company had already announced that the Moto G4 Plus is coming to Canada by ‘early summer’. Now, based on a report, the device is likely to carry a price tag of around CAD 400 (US $305 approximately), according to a company spokesperson.
Also, carriers like Koodo, Telus, Rogers, Wind Mobile, Virgin and Sasktel are expected to sell a subsidized variant of the device in Canada. Apart from G4 Plus, the Moto G4 Play is also expected in Canada but in ‘late summer’.
Motorola Moto G4 Plus Specifications
The Motorola Moto G4 Plus features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a pixel density of 401 PPI. The Moto Display now comes with swipe to unlock and swipe to dismiss features. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 / 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 / 32 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The Moto G4 Plus rocks a 16 megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision sensor, 1.3 µm pixel size, Laser Auto Focus, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and Full HD 1080p video recording. It also features Professional Mode. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV5693 sensor and 84-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It also has water-repellent nano-coating. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the front, which can unlock the device in less than 750 milliseconds.
The Moto G4 Plus includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with Turbo Charging support, which will offer 6 hours of usage with just 15 minutes of charging.
