Motorola is set to release Moto G2 along with Moto X+1 and Moto 360 at IFA on 4th September. They have also planned for an Indian event on the next day. We believe that Motorola may release the device on the Indian e-commerce site Flipkart starting that day.
The Moto G successor has now been spotted on an Indian import manifest, which reveals that more than 50,000 units have already arrived in the country. The Moto G2’s import pricing is listed as Rs 10,640, which means the retail price will be closer or lower than the current pricing of the Moto G 16GB at Rs 11,999. The entry price of Moto G was higher by 2,000 more so it’s been a good news for Indians that they can grab the successor at a low price tag.
Motorola has imported white and black variants, with the former set to be available in limited quantities. Another interesting thing is that the manifest only mentions the 16GB. So there will only one variant available for the time being or may be there will be one and only variant of Moto G2.
Decent specifications at an affordable price was a tempting combination for buyers. Flipkart has recently slashed prices of Moto G as the IFA event has approached.
As per the leaks surfacing online Moto G2 is likely to feature a 5-inch 720p HD display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor aired up with 1GB RAM. It will sport a 8-megapixel primary camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, dual-SIM connectivity, and most importantly microSD card slot to expand the internal storage.
