We reported few days back that Motorola Moto X (2014) and Moto G (2014) started receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update as part of a soak test for selected people in USA. The company acknowledged that it is indeed rolling out the update. It now looks like India too has become a part of the soak test.
The soak test for Android 5.0 Lollipop will be available in India for users who have registered in the Motorola Feedback Network Program and will become the first to taste Lollipop on their Moto G as well as Moto X. If you’re not part of that fortunate group, don’t be worried, as OTA update link will most likely be captured and you can try it yourself in few days.
There was no word from Motorola’s customer support representatives on when the official update will roll out to all the users. If the soak test goes smooth, the OTA update will roll out sooner than expected. The update should reach the crowd in the coming days. The new ROM would be tested for a period and based on the public usage the company would be fixing any necessary bug which can cause trouble to the mass.
The new Android ROM has all the new features inherited like the Material Design, lock screen notifications, card style notifications and many more. In addition, the device also gets Moto Display and Ambient Display, Motorola Assist and Downtime features.
