Moto E Second Generation specifications leaked

Motorola Moto E is one of the most sold smartphones in India by the company. It was one of the first budget smartphones offering good hardware in India sold exclusively on Flipkart, before likes of Asus Zenfone and Xiaomi Redmi 1s entered the market. The successor of Moto E will be out soon and the specifications have already been leaked.

The new Motorola Moto X and the new Motorola Moto G is already out in the market and we await the successor of the Moto E. The new Moto E launch is imminent and will launch “soon enough”, according a report from Greece. Motorola, now a Lenovo company, is truly back in the smartphone business and will have to up their game, to tackle new players like Xiaomi and Asus, who are offering tremendous hardware at very competitive price coupled with good software experience.

The new Moto E will allegedly feature a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) LCD display. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with 1 GB of RAM. The current Moto E has 4 GB of internal storage but we hope the successor gets at least 8 GB of on-board storage with an option of expanding it up to 32 GB via microSD card. The new Moto E will obviously run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

On the camera front, it is expected to have the same 5-megapixel rear camera, which doesn’t come with a LED flash either. The smartphone is rumoured to be LTE enabled along with dual SIM capabilities like the current version. We don’t know about the exact pricing yet but it will cost around USD 115 (INR 7,000).

In terms of looks, the new Moto E will be similar to the first generation but we do not have any leaked images yet. We will keep you posted when we have more about the same.
