The new Moto G went on sale in India on September 6 midnight for a price of Rs 12,999, and Motorola promised the Indian consumers that it will bring in the new Moto X along with the most anticipated Android Wear smartwatch, the Moto 360 to India by end of September.
Yesterday we noticed the new Moto X being listed on Flipkart and now we have noticed that Moto 360 has been listed on Flipkart. The product has been listed as “Coming Soon” and the price hasn’t been revealed yet. Although, you can type in your email to get notification of its availability and price. We certainly think Motorola would launch the device by end of this week considering festival season starting in India from next week.
As we mentioned earlier, the Moto 360 is the most elegant Android Wear smartwatch yet and finally it has been launched today. Though it went on sale in US today, but to get your hands on it from India, you’ll need to wait for another 3 weeks. The LG G Watch R has a full circular design whereas the Moto 360 has a small black bar at the bottom, which bars it from calling it a full circular design.
The Moto 360 has a 1.5-inch LCD display which has a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels. It has a Gorilla Glass 3 over it for protection. The smartwatch is powered by a TI OMAP 3 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM. It comes with 4 GB of internal storage which obviously isn’t expandable. It has only a 320 mAh battery under the hood, will just last up to 12 hours on a single charge. That’s quite bad considering it to be a watch.
On the connectivity options, it comes with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE), and sensors like pedometer and heart-rate monitor among others. The Moto 360 runs on Android Wear and is compatible with all Android phones running 4.3 JellyBean and above.
The expected price in India is around Rs 15,000-16,000 and it will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
