Along side the new Moto X and the new Moto G, Motorola today also announced its much awaited Android Wear smartwatch, the Moto 360 in India. It will be available on Flipkart by end of September or early October. Indian price hasn’t been announced yet but it has been priced at $249.99 in USA.
As we mentioned earlier, the Moto 360 is the most elegant Android Wear smartwatch yet and finally it has been launched today. Though it went on sale in US today, but to get your hands on it from India, you’ll need to wait for another 3 weeks. The LG G Watch R has a full circular design whereas the Moto 360 has a small black bar at the bottom, which bars it from calling it a full circular design.
The Moto 360 has a 1.5-inch LCD display which has a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels. It has a Gorilla Glass 3 over it for protection. The smartwatch is powered by a TI OMAP 3 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM. It comes with 4 GB of internal storage which obviously isn’t expandable. It has only a 320 mAh battery under the hood, will just last up to 12 hours on a single charge. That’s quite bad considering it to be a watch.
On the connectivity options, it comes with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE), and sensors like pedometer and heart-rate monitor among others. The Moto 360 runs on Android Wear and is compatible with all Android phones running 4.3 JellyBean and above.
The expected price in India is around Rs 15,000-16,000 and it will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
