Misfit is all set to enter the Indian market, according to reports. The US-based company makes wearables, mostly fitness trackers, will be launching their products on September 10 in Bangalore.
According to a report from ConnectedArena, Misfit’s Founder and CEO, Sony Vu will be present in Bangalore from September 8-10 and would be meeting the Indian media there. Currently, the Misfit lineup includes Shine, Speedo Shine, Flash, Flash Link, Bolt and Beddit Sleep Monitor.
Lets look at the specifications of the recently launched Speedo Shine and Flash Link.
Misfit Speedo Shine Specifications & Features
The Speedo Shine will help track a swimmer’s lap count at industry leading accuracy for all kind of stroke using proprietary lap counting algorithms embedded in the device’s firmware track, according to the company. Thus it is perfect for professional swimmers. The tracker just weighs 9.4 grams and is 8.6 mm thick.
The Speedo Shine sync with the Misfit app, which is available on iOS and Android. It syncs over Bluetooth and in turn displays laps and swim distance, along with calories burned and points earned. The device will have Speedo Fit support soon. It is Speedo’s personalized swim tracking app. It is waterproof for up to 50 metres only, like the original Misfit Shine. It comes with a similar replaceable coin cell battery (CR2032) as well, which promises battery life of around 6 months.
The Speedo Shine tracker is made up of durable anodized aircraft-grade aluminium and will be available in new light silver colour, Pure. It has been priced at US $79.99 (INR Rs 5,240 approximately) and will go on sale from September 1, 2015. It will be available exclusively at Apple stores worldwide along with the official websites of Misfit and Speedo.
Misfit Flash Link Specifications & Features
The Flash Link will track our daily activities like running, walking, steps and more. It is made to be durable and water-resistant up to 30 metres. The device has a replaceable coin cell battery which promises battery life up to 6 months. It is epic considering Xiaomi Mi Band has a battery life of around one month.
However this is not only a fitness tracker, the Flash Link’s smart button can help in other activities like controlling music on our phone, taking selfies or making advanced slide presentations. The small device is connected with the Misfit Link app. The company promises more additional functionalities and activities are coming to the app such as IFTTT and Logitech Harmony integrations. Currently, the Misfit Link app is available on iOS and Android.
The Flash Link also comes with a companion clip, so that it can be carried anywhere. It is available on misfit.com for US $19.99.
