Microsoft Windows 10 phone preview will be compatible with devices having 512MB RAM

After Microsoft Windows 10 preview for PC, Microsoft is ready with the mobile preview of Windows 10 for the Lumia smartphones. Many people have raised questions regarding the compatibility of the new phone OS by Microsoft running on devices with 512MB RAM.


Joe Belfiore, Corporate VP of Microsoft OS group confirmed the doubts regarding the compatibility issue. The news got confirmed via the microblogging site Twitter that the first upcoming Microsoft Windows 10 Technical Preview will support Windows Phone devices that have 512MB of RAM. Belfiore notes that the phones might get different features and also the timing for their updates might vary.

He also added that the program will go live in February, soon after the company is done with its internal testing process. In the beginning the program will list few devices and later it will add other devices under its niche. The Redmond based giant Microsoft will also unveil their new Lumia devices on March 2nd at MWC 2015 event. The event will happen at  8:30 am CET (1 pm IST).

Meanwhile let us remind you, Microsoft is coming up with a new browser called Spartan on Windows 10. They would also launch Surface Hub to reignite group computing.
