Microsoft Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual SIM smartphones goes official for USD 199

Microsoft Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual SIM smartphones have been officially announced today. These are the latest budget smartphones from the Redmond company that run on Windows 10 and are also the successor of Lumia 550. Lets go through the specifications of the devices.


Microsoft Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual SIM Specifications

The Microsoft Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual SIM features a 5-inch (1280 x 720) HD AMOLED, ClearBlack display that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and has 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. It runs on Windows 10 OS out of the box.

The Lumia 650 rocks a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and auto-focus. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. Both the cameras shoot 720p videos. The body is made up of a metal frame which is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs 122 grams. It supports Dual SIM (only in Lumia 650 Dual SIM), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio.

On the connectivity front, the Lumia 650 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS/aGPS. It packs in a 2,000 mAh removable battery under the hood.


The Microsoft Lumia 650 and Lumia 650 Dual SIM is available in matte white and matte black color variants and will go on sale in select European markets starting from February 18. It is expected to carry a retail price of around US $199 (INR Rs 13,552 approximately) before subsidies and local taxes. There is no information about global release yet but we think it will make its way to India soon.

In December 2015, Microsoft India launched the Lumia 550 Dual SIM for Rs 9,399. The company has also launched the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 in India, price starts at Rs 89,990 and Rs 73,990, respectively.
