Microsoft was scheduled to launch new Lumia devices on March 2 at MWC and shortly Lumia 640 leaked. Now, Microsoft has officially announced the Lumia 640 which runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS. Lets have a look at the specifications of Lumia 640.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD ClearBlack IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with Adreno 305 GPU. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and has 8 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It will be available in single SIM or dual SIM 4G LTE variants along with dual SIM 3G variant.
On the camera front, the Lumia 640 comes with a 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash. It has a 1 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio as well. The Lumia will run on Windows Phone 8.1 OS and will be upgradable to Windows 10 for free.
The Lumia 640 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/aGPS as connectivity options. The smartphone is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood. It also comes with 1 year of office subscription, 1 TB One Drive storage and 60 minutes of international Skype calling per month likely for one year.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 is available in white, black, orange and cyan colour variants which has been priced at 139 Euros (US $155 / INR Rs 9,600 approximately) for the 3G variant and 159 Euros (US $177 / INR Rs 11,000 approximately) for the 4G LTE variant. It will go on sale globally around April 2015.
