Micromax launches Evok Power and Note in India with 4000mAh battery

Last week, Micromax has officially launched two new budget smartphones in India in its ‘Evok series’. They are known as the Evok Power and Evok Note. Both of them feature a 4000mAh battery along with a fingerprint sensor. Lets have a look at the specifications, features and pricing of both the smartphones below.

The Micromax Evok Power features a 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display, that has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further up to 64GB by adding a microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

In the camera department, the Evok Power features a 8 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD card), comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The device features a fingerprint sensor at the back, that can unlock the phone in just 0.15 seconds.

The Evok Power includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 4000mAh battery (non-removable) under the hood but it does not support quick charging.

Micromax Evok Note (E453) Specifications

The Micromax Evok Note features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display, that has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further up to 64GB by adding a microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

In the camera department, the Evok Note features a 13 megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 5P Largan lens. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD card), comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The device features a fingerprint sensor located on top of the home button, that can unlock the phone in just 0.15 seconds.

The Evok Note includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 4000mAh battery (non-removable) under the hood but it does not support quick charging.

The Micromax Evok Power is priced at Rs. 6,999, while the Evok Note costs Rs. 9,499. Both of them are exclusively available on Flipkart. The company had also launched the Micromax Dual 5 last month on Flipkart (online exclusive) for Rs. 24,999.
