Micromax Canvas 5 Lite with VoLTE support launched in India for Rs 6499

Micromax Informatics, who are the 2nd and 10th largest smartphone manufacturers in India and the world, respectively has officially launched the Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Q462 in India today. It is the latest smartphone in the ‘Canvas 5 series’ that supports 4G with Voice over LTE (VoLTE). Micromax had launched the Canvas 5 back in November 2015. The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite features a 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, that is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which cannot be expanded because it does not come with a microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. It is wrapped around by a metal frame and also has a leather-like back cover for a premium look.

The Canvas 5 Lite comes with a 8 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, OmniVision OV885 sensor. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV5670 sensor for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.

The Canvas 5 Lite includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite is available in Brown and Slate Grey color variants. It has been priced at Rs 6,499 in India and is now exclusively selling via Snapdeal.
