Micromax Bolt S301 low-budget smartphone launched in India for Rs 2899

Micromax Bolt S301 has been officially launched in India. It is the most affordable 3G smartphone in the Bolt lineup by Micromax Informatics. Lets check out the specifications.


Micromax Bolt S301 Specifications

The Micromax Bolt S301 features a 3.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA display and is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor. It has 512 MB of RAM and comes with 4 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 16 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to the company.

The Bolt S301 comes with a 1.3 megapixel rear primary camera and a 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM and also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio. Pre-loaded apps like Snapdeal, Quikr and Scandid come with it.

On the connectivity front, the Bolt S301 smartphone includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and aGPS.  The smartphone packs in a 1,200 mAh battery under the hood, which promises 240 hours of backup on standby mode and 4 hours of talk time.

The Micromax Bolt S301 is available in Black and White colour variants and has been priced at Rs 2,899 in India. It will most probably also become the cheapest smartphone with Android Lollipop on board when it gets updated.

The company launched Bolt D303 in India yesterday, priced at Rs 3,499.
