Xiaomi launches its latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 4 in India, as expected. The Chinese company launched the Mi 3 last year at an astonishing price of just Rs 13,999 to enter India in grand style. Now, they are launching the much delayed Mi 4 priced at Rs 19,999 on Flipkart.
Xiaomi launched the much delayed Mi 4 today in India priced at Rs 19,999 for the 16 GB White colour variant which will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. The first flash sale will take place on February 10 and registrations for the same will start at 6pm today.
Xiaomi Mi 4 Specifications
The Mi 4 has a stainless steel frame wrapped around the body with chamfered edges. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display similar to the Mi 3 with very high colour gamut (84% of NTSC range). The smartphone is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage with no option for expandable memory via microSD card. It will run on MIUI 6 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Hopefully, MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop comes soon.
On the camera front, the Mi 4 has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It has f/1.8 sensor size which is a Sony IMX214 six-element lens. It also has the capability to record 4K videos. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 sensor size and 80-degree wide-angle lens (Sony IMX219), which will result in better selfies and video calling.
The Mi 4 has 4G LTE (missing in Indian version), 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.5 & 5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,080 mAh battery under the hood.
