Mi 4 64GB can be purchased from Flipkart without registration from March 28

Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB will now be available normally without registration from March 28 after 2PM. You can buy the flagship device from Xiaomi anytime you want from Flipkart for Rs 23,999. Earlier, Mi 4 16GB and Redmi Note 4G also went on open sale.


The writing was on the wall. The Mi 4 64GB had to go on open sale sooner or later. The device went on numerous flash sales but the company did not reveal if it was “sold out” and also the “number of units” that went on sale. After launching the Redmi 2 in the Indian market, the Mi 4 64GB will now be available normally (open sale) on Flipkart from March 28, 2PM for Rs 23,999.

Xiaomi is also selling the MiPad in India without registration. The company also launched an updated version of the Xiaomi in-ear headphone today. It is available in China for RMB 99 (US $16). Lets recap the specifications of the Mi 4 64GB.

Mi 4 64GB (3G variant) Specifications

The Mi 4 64GB has a stainless steel frame wrapped around the body with chamfered edges. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display similar to the Mi 3 with very high colour gamut (84% of NTSC range). The smartphone is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage with no option for expandable memory via microSD card. It will run on MIUI 6 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Hopefully, MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop comes soon.

On the camera front, the Mi 4 64GB has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It has f/1.8 sensor size which is a Sony IMX214 six-element lens. It also has the capability to record 4K videos. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 sensor size and 80-degree wide-angle lens (Sony IMX219), which will result in better selfies and video calling.

The Mi 4 64GB has 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.5 & 5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,080 mAh battery under the hood.
