Meizu MX6, the latest flagship phablet and the successor of the Meizu MX5 has been officially launched in China at an event today. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the device below.

Meizu MX6 Specifications

The Meizu MX6 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Sharp TDDI LCD display that has very narrow bezels. It also has 1500:1 contrast ratio and 85% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit processor along with ARM Mali-T880 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes in 32 GB internal memory, which cannot be further expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Flyme OS 5.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Meizu MX6 comes with a 12 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX386 sensor with 1.25 µm pixel size, 6P lenses and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). It records 4K videos as well. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 7.25 mm thick and weighs 155 grams. It has a full metal body with magnesium alloy frame along with mBack touch-sensitive home button, which offers different functions based on press. It also comes with mTouch 2.1 fingerprint recognition technology, that can unlock the phablet in just 0.2 seconds. You can also pay via the mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor using Alipay and WeChat.

The Meizu MX6 includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,060 mAh battery under the hood that supports mCharge (fast charging), which promises to charge the phone up to 65% in 30 minutes and fully charge it from 0-100% in just 75 minutes with the supplied 24W fast charger.

The Meizu MX6 is available in Pink, Gold, Gray and Silver color variants. It has been priced at CNY 1999 (US $298 / INR Rs 20,060 approximately) in China. It can be ordered from today and will go on sale starting from July 30, 2016. The company has also released a Life Jack protective cover for the device priced at CNY 79 (US $12 / INR Rs 793 approximately). There is no information on global roll out yet.
