Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition is now available in China. The smartphone is priced at CNY 1799 and has the same specifications as the MX4.

The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition features a 5.36-inch (1920 x 1152 pixels) IPS display with 15: 9 aspect ratio and 2.6mm slim bezels on the sides. The display has 85% increase in NTSC color gamut, 1100:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of up to 600 nit. It is powered by a 2.1 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor and runs on Ubuntu.
The device also boasts a 20.7-megapixel rear shooter with dual tone LED flash, 1/2.3″ Sony IMX 220 Exmor RS sensor, pixel size of 1.2 microns, two dedicated ISPs for 0.3 second focus speed, 20 second long exposure and 4K video recording. It has a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/g/b/n (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/GLONASS as connectivity options. It has a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood. The smartphone is available via their official website in White and Gold colour in China and has been priced at CNY 1799 (US $290). According to Meizu, it will soon be sold in most parts of Europe.
Meizu has finally entered India and formed an exclusive partnership with Amazon. The M1 Note will go on open sale at 2PM on May 20.
