Meizu M5s with 3GB RAM, 4G VoLTE goes official in China

The Meizu M5s features a 5.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, that has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, pixel density of 282 PPI and a screen-to-body ratio of 69.4%. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor along with Mali-T760 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further up to 128GB by inserting a microSD card. The device runs on Flyme OS 6.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The M5s rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony sensor, f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and 5P lens. It can record Full HD 1080p videos as well. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for clicking selfies and making video calls. The smartphone is 8.4mm thick, weighs 143 grams and supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD card). It has an all metal body and it also boasts of a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds and can be used for payments via Alipay and WeChat as well.

The M5s includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3000mAh battery under the hood with mCharge (fast charging) support. It can charge from 0-56% in just 36 minutes.

The Meizu M5s is available in Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Star Gray and Rose Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 799 (US $116 / INR Rs. 7,782 approximately) for the 16GB ROM variant, while the 32GB ROM model costs CNY 999 (US $145 / INR Rs. 9,731 approximately). It will be going on sale in China starting from February 20, 2017.
