Meizu M3E has been officially announced at an event in China today. It is the latest phablet from the company, which is also an upgraded and bigger variant of the recently launched Meizu m3s. Lets go through the specifications and features of the device below.
Meizu M3E Specifications
The Meizu M3E features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display, that has 1000:1 contrast ratio and 450 nits of brightness. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor along with Mali T860 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes in 32 storage variants, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on YunOS with Flyme UI on top of it.
The M3E comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Sony IMX258 sensor and 5P lens. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 7.9 mm thick, weighs 172 grams and supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD). It has an all metal body, which also features a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
The M3E includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood with mCharge (fast charging) support. It can charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes, if you charge it with the supplied 18W charger.
The Meizu M3E is available in Gray, Silver, Gold, Champagne Gold and Glacial Blue color variants. It has been priced at CNY 1299 (US $196 / INR Rs 13,062 approximately) in China and will go on sale from August 14, 2016. There is no information about the global roll out yet. The Meizu m3 note was launched in India for Rs 9,999 back in May, 2016.
