Meizu m3 with 5-inch HD curved display, 3GB RAM goes official

Meizu m3 has been officially launched in China today, after it was recently spotted on TENAA. Lets check out the specifications of the device, which is also the successor of last year’s m2.


Meizu m3 Specifications

The Meizu m3 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 (Quad 1.5 GHz A53 + Quad 1.0 GHz A53) processor along with Mali T860 GPU. It has 2 / 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes in 16 / 32 storage variants (eMMC 5.0) along with expandable memory of up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on YunOS with FlyMe 5.1 on top of it.

The m3 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and 5P lens. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 8.3 mm thick, weighs 132 grams and supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD). It has a polycarbonate body and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack.


The m3 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,870 mAh battery under the hood.

The Meizu m3 is available in White, Gold, Grey, Pink and Blue color variants and it has been priced at CNY 599 (US $92 / INR Rs 6,146 approximately) for the 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM variant whereas the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant costs CNY 799 (US $123 / INR Rs 8,198 approximately). It can now be ordered from the official store and will start shipping from April 29, 2016. There is no information on the global roll out yet.

The company has also recently launched the Meizu m3 note and Meizu PRO 6.
