Meizu M1 smartphone announced in China for 699 Yuan

Meizu M1 is the latest budget 4G LTE smartphone to be announced the Chinese company, Meizu. The device has been launched in China and priced at 699 Yuan. Let us have a look at the specifications of the smartphone. Meizu recently launched the M1 NoteMX4 Pro and MX4.


The Meizu M1 features a 5-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) IPS display with 300ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 processor along with 500 MHz Mali-T760 MP2 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 128 GB via microSD. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Flyme 4.0 on top of it. Hopefully, it will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop soon.

The Meizu M1 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash featuring f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel focus front-facing camera featuring a Omnivision OV560 sensor with 69-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture for better selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 8.9 mm thick and weighs just 128 grams.


The Meizu M1 includes 4G TD-LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,610 mAh battery under the hood.

The Meizu M1 will come in Pink, Blue, White, Peppermint Green and Yellow colour variants and has been priced at CYN 699 (US $112 or INR 6,680 approximately) in China. The smartphone will be available for pre-order from T mall in China starting February 5, 2015. We do not have any information on the global roll out yet.
