Meizu Blue Charm Metal with YunOS now official

Meizu Blue Charm Metal has been officially announced in China. It is the first device from the company that runs on Alibaba’s YunOS with Flyme UI on top of it. Lets check out the specifications of the phablet.


Meizu Blue Charm Metal Specifications

The Meizu Blue Charm Metal features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LTPS display with 2.5D curved glass, that is protected by T2X-1 glass. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) 64-bit processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes in 16 / 32 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Flyme OS 5 out of the box based on Alibaba’s YunOS.

The Blue Charm Metal comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lenses, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 162 grams. It has a full metal unibody with custom alloy frame along with mBack touch-sensitive home button, which offers different functions based on press. Also, comes with mTouch 2.1 fingerprint recognition technology for payments using mPay. It has hybrid Dual SIM where the second SIM slot can be used for microSD card.


The Meizu Blue Charm Metal includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,140 mAh battery under the hood.

The Meizu Blue Charm Metal is available in White, Grey, Gold, Blue and Pink color variants and has been priced at CNY 1099 (US $173 / INR Rs 11,275 approximately) for the 16GB variant and 32GB model costs CNY 1299 (US $205 / INR Rs 13,325 approximately). It can now be pre-ordered in China and goes on sale starting from November 2.

Recently, the company also launched Meizu PRO 5 in China.
