Apple announced the new iPad Pro at the “Hey Siri” event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California on September 9. It comes with a new smart connector (data & power) that connects it to a new physical keyboard. Apple’s Smart Keyboard for iPad Pro will cost US $169 when it comes out but other third-party accessories are also expected. Logitech CREATE Keyboard Case, a Smart Keyboard for iPad Pro has been announced.
The Logitech CREATE Keyboard Case has now become the first third-party accessory for the recently announced iPad Pro that is compatible with the new Smart Connector. The user do not have to power on, set up or charge the keyboard. The Logitech CREATE Keyboard Case will automatically power on and get paired with the new iPad Pro when it is placed in the typing position. It does not even require Bluetooth pairing. The case offers thin and lightweight protection, and the tightly woven premium fabric helps resist accidental bumps, scratches and spills, according to Logitech. The device has an intuitive keyboard layout and full-size keys that will take advantage and do justice to the new iPad Pro’s capabilities and features.
The Logitech CREATE Keyboard Case for iPad Pro will be selling in USA and select counties in Europe, and Asia around November, when the iPad Pro goes on sale as well. The pricing is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Apple Pencil, a new stylus with highly responsive sensors built-in into the tip of the device for pressure, tilt and stroke was also announced for US $99. We have not seen any third-party implementation of this device yet but we are sure that they are coming soon.
