LG India is all set to launch the LG X Screen smartphone with secondary display in India at an event in New Delhi on July 18, 2016. It was officially announced during the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona earlier this year and also went on sale in Europe in March.
LG X Screen Specifications
The LG X screen features a 4.93-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS In-Cell Touch display along with a 1.76-inch (520 x 80 pixels) LCD secondary ticker display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It comes with 2 GB RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The X screen rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 7.1 mm thick and weighs 120 grams. The secondary display will be ‘Always On’, like the upcoming LG G5. This will help the users to easily access frequently used apps, answer calls without interrupting the current activity or play music. In addition, consumers can check battery status, date, time and other notifications without even unlocking the device.
The LG X screen packs in 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC (optional) and GPS, as connectivity options. The smartphone has a 2,300 mAh battery under the hood.
The LG X Screen will be available in Pink Gold, Black and White color variants in India. Stay tuned to know its pricing when it gets launched after couple of days. Recently, LG India launched the LG Stylus 2 Plus in the country.
