LG X cam smartphone with dual rear cameras announced ahead of MWC 2016

LG Mobiles have announced two new smartphones in their new X series – LG X cam and X screen, ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. We will check out the specifications and features of the X cam here.


LG X cam Specifications

The LG X cam features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS In-Cell Touch display. It is powered by a 1.14 GHz octa-core processor. It comes with 2 GB RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The X cam rocks a 13 and 5 megapixel dual rear cameras with LED flash. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. According to LG, it will have one of the most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone. It is 5.2-6.9 mm thick and weighs 118 grams.

The LG X cam packs in 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC (optional) and GPS, as connectivity options. The smartphone has a 2,520 mAh battery under the hood.


The LG X cam is available in White, Gold, Pink Gold and Titan Silver color variants. The company has also announced the LG X screen that comes in Black, White and Pink Gold color variants. These new ‘X’ series smartphones will start rolling out in key markets like Asia, Latin America and Europe from March 2016. Pricing has not been revealed yet and these will be unveiled at MWC in Barcelona between February 22 and 25.
